  • Adele

    Owner, Maker

I knit, crochet and dye. I am owned by a miniature dachshund called Cannoli and when I'm not dyeing yarn for you I am a software engineer. You can find me on Ravelry as gingerknitja.

  • Cannoli

    Quality Assurance

Cannoli can often be found slacking off in the beanbag, looking forlornly at her empty food bowl, or campaigning for the food bowl to be refilled.

  • Gneville

    Chief Mini Wrangler

Gneville likes cultivating gnasturniums and is wary of people that wear toe shoes. He frequently complains about Cannoli's work ethic.

Frequently asked questions

I'd like to return my skein, how do I do that?

I understand that buying yarn off the internet is hard. You don't get a chance to feel it or see the colour in person. Maybe it doesn't match other colours in your stash you hoped to use it with, or maybe it's not what you expected. So long as the skein is still in original condition I'll gladly accept a return or exchange. Contact me within 30 days of delivery and I will give you a return address. Unfortunately I cannot refund the cost of shipping nor pay for return shipping.

What counts as "original condition" for returns?

As long as the ties have not been cut and the skein is not tangled you are welcome to return your skein for a refund or exchange. Try not to damage the tag. You are free to untwist the skein and get a good look at the colour, just take the tag off carefully before you untwist it, then twist it up as best as you can before returning.

Do you mind if I order extra skeins with the intention of returning some of them?

Not at all! As long as you contact me within the return period it's all good. Go nuts, order a bunch and return what you don't like.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes! You are welcome to pick up from my Canberra address. Enter the coupon code LOCALPICKUP when checking out to receive free shipping. I will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient time.

Do you sell wholesale?

I am currently not offering wholesale purchases or bulk discounts. This may change in future.

Do you dye to order?

Yes! Please see my dyed to order listing. Dyed to order is particularly useful if you're after a multiple batch quantity (4+ skeins) since I often only dye one batch of a colour at a time.

Will you be redyeing colourway X on base Y?

The answer to this question is generally yes. I have no discontinued colourways right now, but I have discontinued the following bases:
- Possmerino DK
- Sock (replaced by Stromlo Sock)
- Merino DK (replaced by Molonglo Merino DK)

Can you wind my skein into a cake for me?

Sorry, no, this is too time consuming for me to do at the moment. If you're regularly purchasing hand dyed yarns I definitely recommend investing in a swift and ball winder!
